PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

The Conewago Township Planning Commission held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 24, 2002. Those present were:

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Whitmeyer at 7:30 P.M.

The Agenda items were reviewed.

MINUTES - May 20, 2002 - A motion by Rozanski second by Czuday to accept the May 20, 2002 minutes as submitted. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:

DONNAMARIA KILLINGER - 2146 Chestnut Road, E-town, Residential Country (Former Property of Harry and Mary Peel)
Donnamaria Killinger inquired about building a second dwelling on this property. At one time there were 2 mobile homes on this property. One of the mobile homes has been removed approximately 3 years ago and the other one still remains. She was informed that she needs 125' road frontage for each dwelling which she does NOT have. No action taken.

DOWHOWER PROPERTY- Preliminary Subdivision Plan - Residential Suburban Roundtop and Steinruck Roads This property is a total of 61.6 acres which is located in both Conewago and Londonderry Townships. They are proposing a subdivision of 83 residential single family dwellings plus 1 lot reserved for a sewage pumping station. 73 of the lots will be in Conewago Township and 10 lots are located in Londonderry Township. They are proposing public water from Pa American Water Co and public sewage from DTMA.
The following Waivers were discussed: Section 504.2 - Length of Blocks
Section 510.1 - Recreation and Open Space
Section 606 - Curbs
Section 607 - Sidewalks
Section 613 - Existing Road Improvements
Section 605.1.b - Storm Sewers
The Planning Commission was not very receptive to any of the above waivers.

After reviewing the comments from Tri-County Planning Commission dated June 17, 2002 and comments from the Township Engineer dated June 24, 2002 a motion by Whitmeyer second by Grubb to table the plan until the next meeting. Motion carried.

Act 537 Update:
This update has to do with well testing in Laurel Woods area in order for the Township to get funding from PennVest and to be eligible for reimbursement from DEP. A motion by Whitmeyer second by Rozanski to recommend the update as presented. Motion carried.

Next meeting will be July 29, 2002.

Motion by Grubb second by Czuday to adjourn at 9:45 P.M.
