The Conewago Township Planning Commission held their monthly meeting on Monday, June 2, 2003. Those present were:

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Grubb at 7:25 PM.
The agenda items were reviewed. Ermo Sicher Sketch Plan was added to the agenda.
MINUTES - March 31, 2003 - A motion by Czuday second by Rozanski to approve the minutes of March 31, 2003 as presented. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
Batz-Forester - Extension to July 24, 2003 - On hold until percs and probes are finished.
NEW BUSINESS:
DONALD & RACHEL SHEARER - WAIVER OF LAND DEVELOPMENT - Kevin Ricker, Contractor - 380 Meadow Lane - Zoned, Residential Country
The Shearer's are proposing to erect a 1120 sq. ft. barn for the purpose of alpaca horses, equipment storage and feed. A motion by Rozanski second by Grubb to recommend approval of waiver of land development plans subject to working with the Township Engineer concerning the storm water run-off. Motion carried. Will be taken to Board of Supervisors Meeting, June 11, 2002.
ERMO SICHER, SKETCH PLAN - Chestnut and Roundtop Rd,. Lot 2 - Zoned, Residential Country.
Dr. Sicher has a small farm located on Chestnut Road and is proposing to build a house for retirement which is the middle lot, the lot to the left is original farm and rest is pasture for horses. If approved he would like to build in the spring, but would like to put a holding tank if sewage isn't operational by that time. This subdivision is similar to Burk's subdivision. The township ordinance requires widening of road and construction of the shoulder along front of property, and also requires curbs and sidewalks. This was an informal discussion, therefore, Mr. Sicher needs to get his engineer to do a Subdivision Plan and return to Planning Commission with recommendations and waivers.
REORGANIZATION - A recommendation by the Vice- Chairman Grubb and the Planning Commission to the Board of Supervisors to give public recognition to Terry Whitmeyer with a plaque to show appreciation for all his years of community service to our township for a total of 21 years and 18 years as chairman. A motion by Rozanski and second by Grubb. Motion carried.
A motion by Rozanski second by Hoerner to nominate Ken Grubb, Chairman, Dave Coble, Vice-Chairman, and Dolores Kuntz, Secretary of Planning Commission. Motion carried.
Next meeting will be June 30, 2003.
A motion by Bachmann second by Hoerner to adjourn at 8:30 PM.
