The Conewago Township Planning Commission held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, January 31, 2005. Those present were:

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Grubb at 7:30 P.M.
The agenda items were reviewed with no changes.
Minutes - December 6, 2004 - A motion by Rozanski second by Bachmann to approve the minutes of December 6, 2004 as submitted. Motion carried.
James Hanselman - Inquiry - Mr. Hanselman is thinking about purchasing a property located at 6459 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey which is located in the Residential Country Zoning District. He would use this property for a nursery and design business. He would possibly construct an 1800 sq. ft. pole building used for the nursery business. Employ approximately 10 - 13 employees. At this point the Planning Commission felt that this business would be fine in the Residential Country Zoning District. A Land Development Plan would need to be done. No action taken as this is an inquiry.
Aberdeen Mills - Sketch Plan, Mill and Hill Roads - Residential Country and Ag Zoning District. This new plan now is down to 20 lots and NOT 49 lots as originally proposed. They are proposing to have on site septic and wells. More percs and probes will need to be completed. No action was taken as this is a sketch plan.
James K Foreman -Final Minor Subdivision Plan of Parcel #2 Previously Recorded as Final Minor Re-Subdivision Plan of James K Foreman. Located along Schoolhouse Road and Cedar Road. Residential Country Zoning District. This plan is creating 6 new residential building lots. After reviewing the plan, a motion by Bachmann second by Hoerner to table the plan in order for thedeveloper to make corrections as per the Township Engineers comments dated October 25, 2004. Motion carried.
Chapelshire-Final Subdivision Plan - Londonderry Township - Steinruck Road
This 170 acres farm is mostly located in Londonderry Township with 20 acres in Conewago Township. These 20 acres are to the rear of two (2) lots and NO residential dwellings will be built in Conewago Township.
Plan: A motion by Bachman second by Hoerner to recommend approval of the Chapelshire Final Subdivision Plan contingent upon making the changes as recommended in the Township Engineers review dated July 31, 2004 and Dauphin County's review dated 1/18/05. Motion carried.
Comprehensive Plan Update - It was recommended to have a joint meeting with the Board of Supervisors. Suggested dates are February 14, February 16, February 21 or February 23, 2005. Mr. Grubb will attend the Board of Supervisor meeting on February 9, 2005.
Parks & Recreation Plan - It was suggested to think about this until next meeting and write down your thoughts and feelings.
Next meeting will be February 28, 2005.
